Mr. Smith,
I read your book over this past weekend. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I felt like it articulated a lot of the way I view/live life. There was some additional info I found very insightful….pro sports stories and the spiritual side.
In particular, I really appreciate the analogy you draw between sports -- be it on any level -- and the business world. In person, you gave me a quick overview of how you show the similarities between the two and the book cover alludes to the similarities, too. But it wasn't until I read the entire book and reflected on it for a few hours that I really got it.
I now see many similarities between the way I've approached sports -- wrestling, soccer, baseball, golf, etc. -- over the years and the way I approach academics and the business world.
You see, its easier for me to see my failures in sports compared to the business world because things might not be as clear cut in the work place. Being able to understand the root cause of my failures in sports has allowed me to identify improvements areas in the rest of my life -- especially business related.
I know that part of the reason you wrote the book was to provide motivation/focus for people in their lives. Well, you've accomplished this for me and I'd like to say thank you.
